Former Facebook, Uber and Cloudflare CSO Joe Sullivan Joins Manifold Security Board

One of cybersecurity’s most experienced leaders joins the board of agentic security company as it scales its technology for securing AI agents at the endpoint

Sullivan brings more than three decades of experience spanning the public and private sectors, spearheading cybersecurity strategies for some of the world’s largest tech companies. In addition to CSO positions at Facebook, Uber and Cloudflare, he served as a federal prosecutor for the US Department of Justice, playing an instrumental role in establishing the Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Unit in the Northern District of California.

Sullivan joins Manifold as it scales its platform for securing AI agents operating across employee endpoints, browsers, desktop applications and cloud environments. An early backer of the company, he is among the investors behind the $15 million Manifold has raised to date.

His appointment comes at a pivotal time for agentic AI security in the wake of agents from OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta reaching the open internet during evaluations and breaking into real organizations, prompting government and industry intervention on a global scale. With 74% of companies expecting to use AI agents by 2027, according to Deloitte, three capabilities are becoming critical for every enterprise: full visibility into the agents running across the organization, the means to govern how they behave, and the ability to detect and respond to threats in real time.
